It has one bedroom, a living room- kitchen area which offers space for 4 guests. The balcony with the open sea view directly infront of the Matala beach, invites you for breakfast, relaxing afternoons, family dinners and wonderful evenings with sunsets and a light breeze...
Perfect for families, couples and friends who want to enjoy the Matala spirit and its unique atmosphere.
Teacher's apartment can accommodate 4 people in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The living room - dining - kitchen area is has open, big doors and offers you a lot of light and the breathtaking view of the Matala beach and the caves. That makes you feel comfortable from the first moment.The balcony table invites you to eat, but also offers enough space for a game night or just an impressive sunset.
There is one bedroom with 2 single beds that can be joined together or can be separeted accorning to your needs. The kitchen is fully equipped. Every room has AC. The bathroom has a cabin with shower and is very modern.

I would like to welcome you in this property. This apartment belonged to my parents. I have been spending my summers here since I was a child. I have decided to renovate it and to make it touristic so that other people could enjoy the magnificent view and the nice atmosphere of this apartment.

A safe natural harbour on the Bay of Messara, blessed with a gently sweeping sand and pebble beach, the place in legend where Zeus swam ashore in the guise of a bull with Europa on his back. Many people make this village their base for Cretan holidays, as it is so central on the south coast, and away from the over-development of the north coast. The beach is 250m long and 45m wide.
Matala has something for everyone. Although it has become a popular tourist destination it still retains the charm and character of the quiet fishing village it started as at the beginning of the 20th-century, and the laid-back lifestyle of the hippies of the 60’s and 70's lives on. Half the beach is fringed by tamarisk trees, leading the eye on to impressive formations of sandstone rock cliffs with their famous caves sliding into the sea at an odd angle, creating one of the most unusual beachscapes on the island.
There have been many pages of history here. Nobody knows quite who started caves but it seems likely that they were first hollowed out as Roman or early Christian tombs.
