- The seaside village of Kalathas is located 8km northeast of Chania, in the heart of a large natural bay on the Akrotiri peninsula, which is open to the north winds. Kalathas is a relatively modern village, which has been inhabited by residents of Chania who wanted to live among tranquillity while retaining proximity to the city centre - The beach in front of the village here is beautiful, with fine, white sands and shallow crystal clear water. Opposite Kalathas, there is a small island which you can easily reach by swimming. This beach is very well organized offering sun umbrellas, water sports, restaurants, hotels, mini markets and more! - You will find two small supermarkets nearby this villa, alongside many shops in the nearby Kounoupidiana Village - Chania International Airport is just a 15 minute drive from this home (8km)
