In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. This special location upriver from the village and bridge gives the pleasure of clean water for swimming in the deliciously reviving Rio Dulce. A nicely located diving platform leads to the floating sun deck thoughtfully furnished with comfortable loungers providing the ideal place to watch river traffic going by. Fiber optic wifi throughout. Free vehicle parking and pickup at parking lot or municipal dock. Use of our kayaks, water refills no extra charge. Library, homemade food, dog to pet. All rooms have views of either the river or the jungle. All rooms except El Ranchito have a private bathroom. Certain units have a seating area where you can relax.
