Located in the middle of nature on top of 2 beaches near the small village of Gromin Dolac on Hvar Island, Cast Away - Eco Resort is a type of Robinson Crusoe accommodation offering wooden tents. Guests can enjoy 3 lounge area's with sea views, 5 hammocks and a double sunbed. Free shuttle for pick-up and drop off at the ferry terminal is provided. Each tent is equipped with a mattress, pillows, a light and they offer sea views and hammocks. This accommodation features a common kitchen with 3 fridges, 2 stoves, an oven, shared bathrooms with 2 toilets on rainwater and 3 showers with hot rainwater. A terrace with tables and chairs is provided. There are lockers and private storage boxes. Limited electricity with solar panels and a power generator is provided from 14:00 until 16:00. Guests can engage in various activities, such as windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling and diving. The nearest seaport is Jelsa, 10 km away. Car and motorbike rentals are available but please note that the Cast Away - Eco Resort is located at the end of a 3.6 km macadam road.

I jumped from a plane in New Zealand, swam with giant sea turtles in Galapagos, nomadized with Bedouin tribes in the Wadi Rum desert… This is my life!
After working for the Belgian television and living in our Western society for 15 long years, I felt the need to break out and go back to the essence of being, back... to the essence of life!
So in 2013, I took a gap year and jumped into an amazing adventure around the world. That was the most amazing year of my life and changed my life forever! I got lost in a jungle, wandered for hours in deserts by myself, met all kinds of amazing people from all around the world and realized how beautiful people can be. When I came home, I felt that I just couldn’t fit in society anymore, so I wondered… Could there be anything more perfect than to host travellers and share my passion for adventure in one of the most beautiful and secluded places on this planet? This type of accommodation is Robinson Crusoe style which means it is situated at a location that is not easily accessible. The infrastructure of the location is very basic, but in return, peace, nature and clean sea are guaranteed. Water must be used rationally and all necessities must be bought prior to arrival since the nearest store is usually far away.
Limited electricity with solar panels and a power generator is provided from 10 AM to 12 PM. The property can be reached only by a 3.5-km long macadam road.
