The street
Once a modest service lane, Uska Street—meaning "narrow street"—was originally designed to support the bustling trade of the two lively commercial streets on either side. In its early days, the charming houses along this passage served mostly as warehouses, quietly powering the town’s economic life up until the mid-20th century.
Today, Uska Street has transformed into a vibrant and beloved destination, especially during the city's most celebrated event, Špancirfest. During the festival, this once-hidden alley comes alive with colorful displays of local artistry, handcrafts, street performers, and musicians, turning it into a must-visit cultural hotspot in the heart of the city.
