Blues Panzió Kft. has been founded in January 2023, for the purpose of reopening a pension and pub restaurant 'Blues Panzió' in Balassagyarmat, which has been closed since 2014. However, due to several banks refusal to open a corporate bank account for Blues Panzió Kft. the founder had to look for an another property to run his business, and decided to purchase this property in Kőszeg, as an alternative.

This listed building is built in the late 19th century in the heart of Kőszeg. Like almost every Ryokan in Japan, Sake or rice wine, and a rice cooker are available at the Reception room, which is open around the clock. Complimentary Green tea bags, an another service which every Japanese Ryokan offers, are also available here, in every units with electric kettles. For the convenience of international travellers, cable TV channels are available in Hungarian, German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Croatian and Mandarin (Chinese). For the convenience of Hungarian guests, Blues Ryokan welcomes the payment by OTP SZÉP kártya. For the convenience of guests driving from Poland, Blues Ryokan welcomes cash payment in Polish Złoty（PLN). The most recent official exchange rate set by The Magyar Nemzeti Bank, Hungary's central bank, applies. All the 15 bed mattress in each units are made in Hungary, and purchased them directly from Revor International Kft., after visiting it's factory in Recsk in March 2023.

There are shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. A bakery 'Bleona Pékség' is only 100 meters away from Blues Ryokan, and opens from 05:00, including Sunday (opens from 06:00). Although Kőszeg is famous for numerous charming historical buildings, the founder's most favourite spot is 'Hétforrás' on a hiking route, 5km away from Blues Ryokan. 'Hétforrás' or seven sources, is a spot where you can drink spring waters in the middle of forest.
