Hi, I'm Site, a local from Sorake/Lagundri, Nias. After I spent some years away from home working in the Mentawais, Bali, and Switzerland, it was time for me to come back to Nias and realize the project of my guesthouse. The joy of surfing the world-class wave of Lagundri Bay and the beautiful natural paradise surrounding it, motivated me to give this fulfilling place a home and share it with others. Me and my wife are delighted about everyone's interest in discovering Nias and making the best out of their stay.

Are you looking for a charming beachfront accommodation in Sorake/Lagundri? Jamburae Lodge is a modern style guesthouse with 5 rooms. Each room is airconditioned and has a private bathroom with a western toilet and hot shower. From our spacious terrace, you can look over the entire picturesque bay of Lagundri and we are just in front of the world-famous surf spot „The point“. Our garden and mini beach give direct access to the water. At our bar, we serve you cold drinks, which you can enjoy on the swinging bench, in a comfy bean bag, while playing billard, or while watching the sunset surf on the terrace.

**Surf**
Nias’ waves are ranked in the top ten of many surf magazines. Lagundri's – “the point” at Sorake Beach is the most famous one and easy accessible, running all day, all year. During the season from April to October it can reach up to 12 feet or 4 meters. During low season the wave gets smaller, perfect to learn how to surf, for longboarding, or to improve turns and aerials on a fun-size, quality wave.
From Sorake you can reach other surf spots like Rockstar or Walo Hiu/Secret (lefthander) in a short amount of time.
**Nature Adventure**
Discover Nias’ stunning nature on a stroll to one of the many waterfalls or beaches in the vicinity. The beautiful beach Ladeha with a natural swimming pool is reachable within a 1.15-hour drive and our guests can have a swim including BBQ there.
**Culture**
Nias is famous for its unique culture, which developed in isolation from the rest of the country. This island also boasts Indonesia’s only megalithic culture. On a day trip, you can discover the extraordinary building methods of the old villages of Nias.
