The Almanage in Clogheen provides adults-only accommodation with a fitness centre, a garden and a shared lounge. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. At the country house, all units come with a desk. For those who want to escape and leave it all behind, welcome to The Almanage, a sanctuary of peace and tranquility. The Almanage is a luxury country house nestled at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains. With just seven bedrooms, our historic property offers an intimate and peaceful escape just outside the charming village of Clogheen, County Tipperary. The Almanage blends old-world charm with modern comforts, providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and each room’s private bathroom is equipped with organic toiletries, fresh bed linen, slippers, dressing robes, linen eye mask and towels. We offer a continental, vegetarian, and gluten-free breakfast, including seasonal smoothies , fruits, yogurt, breads and a variety of wholesome options. We do not accept party bookings as this is a quiet restful space.
We started The Almanage to offer people a beautiful private space to relax and unwind and also enjoy some luxury.. At The Almanage, each corner is designed to help you unwind, a sanctuary that invites you to slow down and breathe deeply. Here, nature is not just a backdrop, but an integral part of your experience.
The Almanage is ideal for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The Knockmealdown Mountains, right on our doorstep, offer stunning hiking trails, panoramic views, and a chance to explore the famous Vee Pass – a scenic route known for its breathtaking views, particularly in late spring when the rhododendrons bloom in vibrant shades of purple. The nearby Galtee Mountains and Glengarry woods offer further hiking and cycling trails. Cahir Castle is a 16km drive, Swiss Cottage, a 19th-century thatched cottage is 17km, Bay Lough 5km away, and Tipperary Town 38 km.
