Nestled bang in the centre of Kolkata, this busy yet quiet place is close to most of the city's hubs. A twin unit of 300 Sq feet+, perfect for a couple or a family of four. It can accommodate 4-5 people with request for additional beds. This is a newly renovated unit with South facing balcony that is 20 feet long and 5 feet wide. It gets a lot of sunlight all day. On 2nd floor of a 3-floor house owned by a single local family with liberal values. We love to cook and serve local food.
We live in the property and work from home on most days if not traveling out of town for work. We have many friends from India and around the world and love interacting with people from every place. We love to cook and eat together. We have a full-time caretaker and cook on property who can cook local and delicious home food on request. On some days, the hosts like to cook pan-Indian authentic cuisine along with South East Asian food as well. It would not be uncommon to see them using the herbs and chillies growing on their lush terrace garden.
You will reach the gate in 2 minutes from the main road. One must pass through a busy shoe market that is famous throughout Kolkata. Easy to find cabs and public transport. We have two bicycles that our guests can use on request. You can reach hubs like Park Street, Victoria Memorial within a ride of 10-15 mins. Cabs and buses are almost always available from the main road that is a minutes walk. Sealdah Metro Station is 1.5 Kms or a 10 minute bus ride. Park Street is 1.5 kms and Victoria Memorial is about 4 kms from here. A hatchback car with a driver can be arranged for additional charges for the entire day with an advance request. We have two bicycles on property (MTBs) that can be made available to the guests on request.
