The uneven roads may be considered as part of the journey, but the real journey starts at the Farmer's Retreat Home-stay! The space Need some information about the abode you're going to be staying at? Well come on in! Don't expect a star hotel luxury if you want to taste real Indian rural life. But we can assure you pollution free sky with clear star gazing if you are lucky not to have clouds covering them! But if you have a cloudy day, you may be surprised to see the clouds much closer to you due to the elevation of the region. The chirping of small birds and the calls of the Peacocks.
If pure relaxing is not your thing, then explore the various activities you can perform to pass time or enjoy doing with your family and mates. From badminton to trekking (Hulukadi Betta, 5 kms. trek) to visits to Spiritual Revival Mission's Mount Zion (30 minutes drive) or several temples (e.g. Chikka Madurai Temple- 30 minutes drive, Ghati Subramanya- 60 minutes drive) or more well-known routine destinations such as Nandi Hills (1.5 hours drive). Or get a taste of pure wilderness and rural farming communities by just walking around in the remotest of villages for getting a feel of the rural lives. Yet, Bangalore is just under 2 hours drive if you want to explore the Silicon Valley and Information Technology hub of India. Getting around The location of farm is about 1.5 hours drive from Kempe Gowda International Airport, Bangalore. Although there is regular tar road up to the nearest villages Jyotipura and Thambenahalli, the last 1.5 kms. is mud road that gets ditches and water logged areas, particularly after rains. There are buses up to Konnenahalli Village (3 kms. away from the farm) from Doddaballapura, the nearest railway station and mid size city.
