Hellnarfell guesthouse is a beautiful home just 1 km outside of cetrum Grundarfjörður. Peace and quiet is guaranteed. We only rent out the whole house,so if you are a couple that reserves the house you have the whole house to your self and dont have to share it with anyone. We started renting hellnafell out in the beginning of 2016 and have been fixing it up and trying to give it some love that it deserves. The view does not disappoint anybody that is for sure 😁 The house has 4 bedrooms with 8 beds for people. But we do obły have one bathrooms there for is you are a big group it is important that you know it has only one bathroom. Kolbrún is the owner of the house and her daugher Eva will be the host :) Kolbrun lives in the north side of Iceland and is a photographer and horse trainer. She loves the outdoors and horseback riding and most of all spent g every minute with her family. Eva worked from home and loves communicating with her guests. She is always ready for her guests if there is anything they need. Quick to respond do your questions, but is she does not answer with in minutes in booking her number is on the side and will answer your questions quickly by phone. She loves travelling and spending time with her family

There are no neighbours because this is out of the town but the town is in walking distance from the guesthouse. But the town is quiet and lovely. We have a pub and a resturant. It is also possible to have amazing things to eat in 2 places in Grundarfjörður they are Kaffi 59 and Bargarateinn Mathus and you can not forget the amazing hot dog truck thats in the town squere in the summer - mæstró Supermarket is open weekdays 9-18, Saturday 10-17 and sundays 12-17 . We have a new coffee shop inside of town called “graena kompaiid” located at Hrannastigur 5 there you can buy coffee,cakes and a lot more opening hours 12-18 Blossi is a store inside of town that sells nearly everything you should need . There you can buy handmade Icelandic wool sweater’s , socks among other things. They’re is also laundry service. The small house next to the store you can find self service for watching machine called” 24 hour laundry “ you can find them It you tyle In to Google map 24 hour laundry :) Opening hours of store is 10am-16pm weekdays At the house you are in a walking distance to alot of hiking areas and waterfalls for example kirkjufellsfoss.
