A peaceful place to next to Lagarfljót lake and a 5-minute drive from Vök baths. Superb views from a cozy patio. A great location to travel to and from all the amazing places in the East of Iceland. The apartment has one big bedroom, and a spacious open-plan living room and kitchen. Outside is a little patio with furniture. From the patio is an excellent view of the Lagarfljót lake and the mountains on the other side of the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment has a double bed, a double pull-out couch and bunk beds. We can provide a travel cot upon request.

We are an Icelandic/English couple living with a big family in the east of Iceland. We love the nature in the area and what Iceland has to offer and therefore we are always open to answer questions and we try to help our guests whenever we can.

At the back of the house is a little playground where children can go and play safely, without crossing a street. Egilsstadir Airport is 3 minutes drive away. In walking distance is the quirky but family-friendly coffee house/restaurant Bókakaffi. Across the lake and 5 minutes drive away is central Egilsstadir. There you can find supermarkets, pharmacy, swimming pool, restaurants, bars, banks and more. 4 minutes drive away one can visit Mosi and Garpur who are the friendly reindeer at Vínland. Ekkjufell golf course is only 3 minutes by car. For those who want to explore Hallormsstaður, the biggest forest in Iceland, it is only a 26-minute drive away. Hengifoss waterfall is great for a light hike and is only 27 minutes drive away. For those who would like to look at the amazing scenery at Stuðlagil canyon, they can do so by driving for about an hour.
