Furthermore the crater Kerið, the old parliament site Þingvellir and the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss are close by. A wonderful black beach is near the farm. Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, is only 60 minutes driving away. The jeep – mountain tracks of Fjallabaksleið lie a few kilometres away. Take a day trip to the islands of Vestmannaeyjar or drive 15 minutes to Selfoss, the fifth largest urban area in Iceland to go swimming, golfing or dining. If you want to go horseback riding, there are several horse stables in the neighbourhood. From the farm, you can get lucky enough to see the mesmerizing northern lights in the sky during wintertime.
