Hotel Thoristun (Þóristún) is a small family hotel situated in one of Selfoss´s old houses along the riverbank. It was built by the local pharmacist in the 1958 and housed his family until 1968 when the house was turned into one of the first hotels in Selfoss. The house is well known by local Selfoss residents and has a history closely connected to the town. The house was renovated in 2014 but has kept it´s old charm and charisma. You can´t miss it, it´s just opposite the beautiful church in Selfoss.
Selfoss is the largest town in southern part of Iceland. It´s the perfect place to explore the wonders of Iceland from. Selfoss is a small town with the benefits of a city, with great cafés, good restaurants, shops and supermarkets....and it´s beautiful :)
