Just a 5-minute walk from Trieste Station, Albergo Alla Posta is in Piazza Oberdan, next to the historic Opicina Tram Terminus. Attentive staff serve an extensive buffet breakfast in an elegant dining room. Decorated in a mix of traditional and modern styling, rooms at the Posta Hotel offer air conditioning, satellite TV and a minibar. Some have marble bathrooms with hydromassage baths, and free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. Breakfast includes cheese, cold cuts and jams, served in front of a roaring log fire in winter. In the afternoon you enjoy complimentary teas in the communal lounge. Corso Cavour, at the start of Trieste’s harbour-side promenade, is 400 metres from the hotel.
