"The Plum Tree Chalet" is an Alpine retreat, with unobstructed views over the peaks surrounding stunning Monte Rosa. Located in Macugnaga, in the little neighborhood of Motta looking over pristine meadows at c. 1300m slm, the property can only be reached through an unpaved road with restricted access. From the private parking spot, a short trail (2 minutes walk) takes you Ito the cottage on foot, thus providing absolute peace and true contact with nature. Ideal for relaxing in the sun and hiking the nearby peaks all the way from Easter to late Autumn. The luxury cottage provides all modern comforts and facilities, yet retaining the charm of old times and a warm sense of cosiness. Featuring an open fire place, wide living rooms, three bedrooms and four bathrooms, three of which ensuite, the chalet is a gem for nature lovers, hikers and mountain bikers.

The chalet is located in the neighbourhood of Motta (Macugnaga), consisting of a cosy church and seven privately owned chalets surrounded by beautiful meadows, forests and an alpine lake (The Fairy lake). The uniqueness of the location is that you will be truly immersed in Alpine scenery and yet just a few minutes away from the main resort of Macugnaga where shops and several tourist attractions can be found. The Chalet is located in the small village of Motta, that in Summer can easily be reached by car from Macugnaga (Isella) through a private unpaved road with a dedicated parking spot. The Chalet is located on alpine meadows, thus you will need to walk a 2 minutes trail from the car parking spot to get home: backpack advised, trolleys uncomfortable. Due to its unique location you must be comfortable walking on uneven off-road terrain, have some hiking experience and carry a backpack. If you are OK with that, then you are bound to have a wonderful time in the glory of nature, yet with all comforts and easy access to the main resort of Macugnaga. On the contrary if you are looking for a property in town and /or are travelling with infants, then Chalet "Il Pruno del Rosa" may not be suitable for you: pls feel free to connect for more accessibility info if needed.
