We were not perturbed by the challenge presented by these 200 year old walls. .It almost seems that preserved between these old bricks exists something enchanting, familiar, seductive…
The area surrounding Corte Stellata offers opportunities for walks along the banks of the PO and PANARO rivers and other canals. By bicycle, one can explore the flood plains and local countryside, with its fragrant scents and flavours. It is also possible to visit the nearby cities of Ferrara and Cento, with their rich cultural and artistic heritage.
Verona, Mantova, Lake Garda, Bologna and Padua can all be reached by car in about an hour.
The Pianura Padana is rich in historic charm and is dotted with ancient villages, that still evoke the Middle Ages; its green, fertile and bountiful land is criss-crossed by rivers and canals, while their banks preserve and protect our heritage.
The entire region is dominated by the Great River with its canals and its tributaries, which flow unceasingly across the countryside. The land is pervaded by the scents of recently cut grass, harvested wheat and the aroma of damp soil after a storm. The silence, broken only by the singing of cicadas, is ideally suited to lazy siestas on warm summer afternoons.
