From a small blooming courtyard nestled in the heart of Lucca’s historic center, Il Cortile di Elisa was born — a project, a passion, a dream brought to life through this charming Guest House run by Elena, the owner.
A hidden garden, surrounded by historic buildings in her hometown, offers an oasis of peace and serenity, blending contemporary flavors with the traditions of Lucca.
Elena, a young architect and sommelier, personally oversaw the renovation of her home and the adjoining guesthouse overlooking the private inner courtyard, where she created two welcoming rooms for guests. Everything is managed with the warmth and attentiveness that define her.
Guests are offered personalized tips and trusted contacts to help craft an exclusive and unforgettable stay. In addition to the beautifully furnished outdoor spaces, Elena also provides bicycles — which, in her opinion, are the best way to explore the beauty of Lucca!

Nestled among the narrow streets, shops, and historic buildings of the city center, a courtyard opens up to reveal two rooms that enjoy the peace and scents of a true blooming garden! About a year ago, we added a small additional apartment located right next door: Gelsomino! In keeping with the philosophy that has always guided Il Cortile di Elisa, it also features its own private courtyard, exclusively for the use of its guests!

Il Cortile di Elisa is located just a few steps from Palazzo Orsetti, the seat of Lucca’s City Hall, about 200 meters from the Basilicas of San Michele and San Frediano, and around 150 meters from Via Fillungo, the main street in Lucca’s historic center.
Although it lies in the very heart of the city, the street where the Guest House is located is particularly quiet, free from the noise typically associated with nearby commercial activities. These are close but set apart from the residence, allowing it to enjoy a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
