Locanda dei Guelfi is located in a historic building, belonging to the Medici Family. We are exactly in the Church of St. Barnaba's district, and more precisely in a Palace that in the 1200 century was inhabited by doctors and apothecaries and then became a Convent of Carmelite nuns until 1800.
This important Church and Convent, though ignored by the organized tourism and not well known even by the Florentines, for Institutions remains a listed building, protected by the Fine Arts.
Locanda dei Guelfi is a Bed & Breakfast located in the historic center of Florence, on the third floor of a seventies building a short walk from the station Santa Maria Novella, Duomo, the Congress Center, the Business Center and the main monuments and museums.
The convenient location makes it a perfect starting point for our customer, both for leisure itineraries and to reach the main centers of artistic and cultural city.
