The history of the port has its roots already in Roman times and has always been the heart and beating center of Fano - marinara. The work of fishing has always been the driving force of this area of the city, once above all artisanal and familiar. Even if today things have changed, there is a place in this area of the city that is still authentic: El Gugul, a small street that is the symbolic place of Fano fishermen. A visit to this little known area of the port is a must. The visit to the sea area of Fano continues with a walk, preferably at sunset, on the quay of the “trabucchi”. Also called Quadri, Lugerne, they define the physiognomy of this area of the waterfront.
