With a view to offering a unique stay in the Eternal City, Roman architects Stefano and Alessia chose – and then lovingly restored – a large, patrician residence in the heart of Renaissance Rome, with one of the most prestigious addresses in Italy: Via della Fontanella di Borghese.
To reach this objective, they sought out a residence that would meet their specific requirements; having found it, they then went to great lengths to choose the right wall coverings, before restoring the fixtures and flooring.
Their dream is now ready for you: the Nobildonne Relais.

Every detail encapsulates history and beauty, from the generous dimensions of the spaces, to the frescoed ceilings, and from the mosaic floors to the exquisitely designed furnishings and fabrics.
The name “Nobildonne Relais” derives from the decision to dedicate each suite to a different Roman noblewoman, all of whom made their mark on the heart of the city between 1500 and 1800: Paolina Borghese, Donna Olimpia Pamphili, Beatrice Cenci and Lucrezia Borgia. In each case, her personality and life are reflected in the choice of fabrics, colours and decor.

The Palazzo del Marchese Mereghi, which houses the Nobildonne Relais, is just a stone’s throw from the Spanish Steps, and from the designer boutiques on Via dei Condotti, the imperial remains of the Ara Pacis and the finest artisanal ice cream in Piazza in Lucina. A metro stop (Piazza di Spagna Station) is in the vicinity if you need to go further afield, or reach the airports, and there is a convenient taxi rank and bus station at nearby Piazza Augusto Imperatore.
