Palazzo d'Assi is a historical building in the old town of Monforte d'Alba. It is run as a guest house with private entrances to all suites. Suites are renovated with many modern features while the charm of the ancient structure is preserved. Guests will find spacious suites of at least two or more rooms. As a guest house, we don't serve breakfast, but there are plenty of opportunities for typical Italian breakfasts within walking distance.
I am half Tuscan, half Iranian, and I grew up and lived in Piedmont. The interweaving of stories is in my DNA, and it has always been the key to sharing the beauties of the world. My first sharing is having opened the doors of the family farmhouses of Pakravan Papi's Winery at a stone's throw from the crystal clear sea of Tuscany. From there, the idea of Storie e Dimore was born: holiday homes in historic buildings in the heart of Piedmont. The experience of the splendor of the past with the comfort of the present. Welcoming guests from all over the world, with their luggage full of personal stories and heritage in the broadest sense of the term, grasping their desire for discovery by offering them the key to open the secret door of these places: this is not a job to me, but a passion.
The historic center of Monforte, like all the ancient villages of the Langhe, is located on the top of the hill and develops in a maze of suggestive and evocative streets and alleys uphill from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the wine hills now Unesco World Heritage. Palazzo d'Assi is located in the historic heart of Monforte d'Alba. Ancient residence of the Cathars, then public building from the Middle Ages onwards, in a few years ago the Palace was sold to privates and was the subject of a meticulous restoration under the tutelage of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and used as tourist accommodation. Monforte is the ideal place to experience the atmosphere of a unique place authentically. Dozens of restaurants, hundreds of wine cellars, many panoramic routes on foot or by bike, a rich cultural heritage, a lively offer of artistic events and entertainment: these are the hills of the Langhe Unesco World Heritage. Monforte, in the heart of Langhe, is the ideal place to live an authentic experience.
