Our house is set in the countryside, a few kilometres from the city of Este. It used to be an old farmhouse that we renovated in the early 2000s. We’ve recently refurbished a room on the first floor, which has a private entrance from the porch and through a walkway that was originally a barn. It was our dream to live in the countryside. Our home is set in a landscape filled with vineyards, an ecological haven where nothing has changed.

We are a couple of renovators who paused work for more than a year to renovate what was to become our home. We did everything ourselves, from the surfaces to the furnishings, except for the substructure work. At least everything surely meets our taste. An additional satisfaction has come from our house being featured in two magazines.

Our house is located in the central-south part of Veneto, at the foothills of the Park of the Euganei Hills. 4kms away from us is Este, a Roman city with an important archaeological museum where Percy and Mary Shelly resided for a long period of time. 7kms away is the town of Monselice and 10kms away is the borough of Arqua’, home to the famous poet laureate Petrarca. Within 25kms are the cities of Padua, Rovigo and Montagnana. Within 50kms are Venice, Chioggia, Vicenza and Ferrara.
