This unique two-storey villa on the island of Salina boasts a meticulous renovation that honours its late 19th-century origins. Elements like the ancient oven are reminiscent of the property's past. We fell desperately in love with Salina and the Aeolian Islands, mesmerised by the very peculiar landscapes. Salina is the greenest island and its central location makes it the ideal spot for exploring the entire archipelago. You will discover a crystal-clear sea, a volcanic heritage, and a rich history waiting to be uncovered. In 2006, we took a leap of faith and purchased a vast property with two ruins and 11,000 square meters of land. We wondered if we could ever restore it all. After years of dedication, we ended in 2023 and our dream became a reality. Now, we're delighted to share this slice of paradise with respectful, curious guests. Lingua lives up to its name ("tongue" in Italian) by gently stretching towards the sea, a welcome contrast to the island's dramatic cliffs. This easy access makes Lingua a favorite for beach lovers (be aware that beaches are usually made of stones), swimmers and snorkelers. Don your mask and fins to discover a marine wonderland populated by salps, octopuses, snappers, barracudas, and even solitary groupers. Beyond the beach, Lingua offers a charming, quiet little village with a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Don't miss "Da Alfredo," renowned for some of Sicily's (and arguably the world's) best granitas! For a touch of town life, Santa Marina is just 2km away. Hikers can embark on a challenging but rewarding trek to the peak of Monte delle Felci, which soars over 1000 meters. The panoramic views from the summit are truly unforgettable.
