Hakone no Yado is located on top of an elevated platform and you will have to climb about 30 stairs in order to reach the entrance. Inside the accommodation there are also several stairs, too, including one that is rather steep. Please bear this in mind before you make a reservation. However, once you're inside you'll get to experience a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and views overlooking Hakone city and the mountains. This apartment has 3 bedrooms and is only a 4 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. It can accommodate up to 8 people. Souvenir shops, restaurants, onsen facilities, convenience stores... everything is within walking distance! 【Regarding breakfast and dinner】 Breakfast and dinner can only be reserved at the time of your booking - unfortunately this option cannot be added after your booking has been completed. Please make sure to select the correct room and plan. If your reservation includes meals, ingredients for breakfast and dinner are inside the fridge upon arrival. Breakfast includes three types of bread and one bottle of juice for each guest. For dinner, a variety of vegetables and regional Wagyu (Japanese beef) is provided to make your own sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot). In the unlikely event that we fail to deliver the ingredients due to unforeseen circumstances, the costs for the breakfast and dinner will be reimbursed. In the case you booked ahead of time and ingredients have significantly increased by the time of your arrival, additional costs may be charged after your booking has been completed to cover the difference.

Hakone-Yumoto is one of the increasingly popular tourist destinations in the Hakone area. It is also becoming popular not only among Japanese but also among foreign tourists because of its easy accessibility from the city center. The area offers beautiful natural scenery in each of the four seasons, art galleries, museums, and other leisure facilities, as well as many events and festivals throughout the year, including the Hakone Ekiden held during the New Year's holidays. Historical sites are also scattered throughout the area, such as the old highway and Kumano Shrine, also known as the Onsen no Jinja (Shrine of Hot Springs), which still retains the atmosphere of good old Japan. There are many facilities where visitors can enjoy high-quality hot spring baths. For onsen manju, a staple of hot springs, we recommend "Hakone no Otsukisama" at a store located a 5-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Please try it while strolling around.
