Tsukihitei es troba al bosc primitiu de Kasugayama, declarat Patrimoni de la Humanitat per la UNESCO. Totes les habitacions tenen una decoració d'estil japonès i ofereixen vistes panoràmiques al bosc, terres tradicionals de tatami (palla teixida) i mampares de paper shoji. Totes les habitacions estan equipades amb futons d'estil japonès. Les habitacions tenen bany privat. El santuari Kasuga Taisha es troba a 400 metres de l'establiment. El temple Todaiji és a uns 10 minuts a peu. L'estació de tren de Kintetsu Nara i l'estació de tren JR Nara es troben a menys de 10 minuts amb cotxe. El xef japonès prepara esmorzars d'estil japonès i sopars amb menú del dia amb especialitats de temporada.
