We built our house "Uchi" in 2016 to welcome world guests visiting Matsushima Japan. We just wanted to create the new scene in Matsushima that guests can be exposed to Matsushima's beauty & excellence in a more direct & relaxing way. We sometimes show around our guests or do something enjoyable such as having a dinner party at our common area. Normally we have a mixed atmosphere with the guests from different countries sitting all together having some nice & enjoyable conversations while surrounded by a beautiful natures & temples.
Konnichiwa. My name is Eiju and I'm the owner of this guesthouse．Our guesthouse "Uchi" was built in March 2016 to offer the place where the visitors to Matsushima can be immersed in the real-life situations of Matsushima while staying and sharing some fun with us. As we named our guesthouse "Uchi" refering to a private home in Japanese, you will be treated with "Glad-you're-home hospitality"at our house, and with my over 30 years living experiences in Matsushima, I'll make sure to create the scene that makes your stay special and rewarding. So come on over. You won't regret it. I'm into music, and love traveling,fishing, djing and also doing Kendo.
Our guesthouse is located near all the main sightseeing spots, 10 minutes walk from the Matsushima-kaigan station. (The boat pier is just across the street, and it is only a 2-minute walk to the temples.) Matsushima is one of the three views of Japan, and aside from the famous spots in Matsushima, neighboring towns such as Okumatsushima and Shiogama have the nice spots to enjoy the splendid ocean view. Tamonzan in Shichigahama, Otakamori and beaches in Okumatsushima, and the Shrine in Shiogama are pretty worth visiting.

Please note there are 3 parking spaces available on a first-come first-served basis at the on-site private car park. Parking is allowed only after 15:00. Do not enter the paid parking lot across from our house.
Please note, guest rooms are located on the 2nd floor. There is no lift and guests must walk up stairs to reach their rooms.
