The 4 rooms are located under the restaurant. Two in separate entrances and separate bathrooms, which in Canada we call "shitters" lol. More liken to a private mental hospital ward lol.

We love to host and it shows. Reflected in our vibe. Our guests, if they are cool and well mannered, quickly become fast friends and further make us want to help and share our local knowledge. I personally do not suffer fools gladly and would much prefer to be around well mannered and worldly guests and not those in need of validation or attention. I find no connection made with guests who take them too serious. Very boring. Our greatest pleasure is to listen and learn about our guests history and country of origin over good food and drink followed by a fun karaoke session with love and laughs. Life is very very short and I have had a fantastic life and it has only gotten better as I advance in my 61 years but I still cling to my youth as it helps when living in this beautiful young developing country. Anut and I could not be from more different socioeconomic backgrounds. She often had no idea what she and her family would eat that day. Whereas I, on the other hand, grew up very privileged and was afforded every opportunity for advancement in station. I was an athlete and recruited to some of the best private schools in Canada. My life consisted of constant accolades and positive reaffirming which has helped mould me into the 15 year old I am today. I am an extremely lucky boy to have moved to Cambodia on my birthday in 2017 and most importantly to have met my very dynamic Khmer wife Anut.

Bar Ang in Battambang is situated in the village of Ochar. We are close to the Phare circus. We much prefer the free crazy and huge frantic Pou Phouy wholesale market were fruits and vegetables arrive from the surrounding area and are redistributed in vehicles, with stages of advanced decay, all over Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Our location is not very good unless you can drive a scooter. No licence required just ability as is the case with many endeavours in S. E. Asia. Those who know, understand what I mean. We are 1 kilometre from the center of Battambang but it might as well be the other side of the moon if one has to taxi constantly.
