Lao owner Jimmy (a former Buddhist monk and who has lived with his Australian family for 12 years) and his beautiful wife "Nou", is truly exceptional. They both speak excellent English, have good local knowledge of the city and countryside.

Apple Guesthouse offers quaint, personalized & friendly 10room accommodation in the heart of this unique UNESCO heritage city, just behind the main tourist street & two doors from the mighty Mekong River & its varied restaurants for all budgets. A short walk will get you to the major attractions; temples, restaurants, tourist information, tours, & morning & night markets are just around the corner. Rooms are spotlessly maintained; many in teak, which is the traditional Lao style. All have air-cons, fan&free Wifi, LED TV with CNN, BBC&HBO. The two superior rooms each have their own private balconies overlooking the quiet streets-cape. One superior double room has a fantastic brand new private bamboo porch creating a stylish romantic atmosphere. This’s good for smokers as smoking is only allowed outside the guesthouse. A large triple room is very useful for a small family or if you are a group of 3 with a Queen & a king-single bed. Our family room is very spacious with 2 king-size beds and roomy. The common balcony upstairs overlooks the alleyway’s activities, where you can sit and enjoy free tea, coffee, cool water & magazines. It’s a popular place for people using the free WiFi.

Apple Guesthouse is right in the middle of the UNESCO site in Luang Prabang. UNESCO is one kilometer long and 300 meters wide. Apple Guesthouse being in a premium position to walk everywhere. Up a small quant alleyway lit by soft lighting of an evening and is as pretty as any postcards. Temples restored to their former glory are in abundance and the evening drums calling the monks and novices to temple can be heard in the distance. A short walk and you are welcome to join them in meditation while they chant. As you walk around in this wonderful ancient city you feel safe and peaceful. The mighty Mekong is only 20 meters away where you can sit and relax over a drink or a tasty meal.
