Camp Leopard is Situated off of Yala block 1 Katagamuwa (north - less crowded) Gate access road.
From Camp Leopard, You can access Block 1 North, & South Gates as well as Block 3,4,5 Access gates from Galge within 10-20mins.
We are one of very few Sri Lanka's Professional and sustainable safari operators.
The campsite gives you all the facilities of a hotel in a fully air-conditioned glamping tent and spending the night right at the edge of the jungle with luxury comforts is a lifetime experience that can be no more a dream.
Comfortable sleeping arrangements supplemented by comfortable chairs and coffee table in the living area, attached bathroom with running water will make you feel homely.
Our experience does not limit to an accomodation, but a real authentic sri lankan safari glamping from adventure, culture, people, food and of course education and sustainability.
You could sit back and relax in the fully furnished living area outside the tent or have a chilling nap in the hammock under the shades of massive jungle trees while listening to the sounds of birds. This is a place where you could get so close to mother nature.
I am the founder of Camp Leopard along with a couple of like-minded individuals who wanted to share the experience we had while growing up in the bush in the wilderness of Sri Lanka.

The campsite although just 2km away from town is situated right at the border of Yala National Park. Thus you have the thick forest staring at you right in front. Apart from safari game drives, you can have shuttle rides provided by us to visit Ruhunu Maha Katharagama Devalaya which is one of the well-known worship places apart from one in India.
A tourist can also do a mountain bike ride around the bank of lake Kotchipathana and then go rowing to witness some of the tremendous crocodiles that you could never find in any other nick of the woods.
To add more value to the stay at LeopardYala upon request of the guest we can arrange a BBQ dinner by the lake while enjoying the sunset beside. And also we do guests who prefer adventure outdoor camping by providing them with portable tents to be fixed by themselves.
For guests who prefer to stay for more than one day, we can arrange special one-day trips to nearby historic places like Sithulpawwa Temple which has plenty of ancient monuments and rock caves, chapter houses and etc.

Please contact the camp before arrival to Kataragama with an estimated time of arrival to allow the property to give directions to the private parking location or meeting point where guests will be picked up from and shuttled to the camp in a 4x4 vehicle along the Yala National Park.
A separate driver's accommodation is not available on the camp. However if contacted before hand, the property may be able to provide some recommendation or make arrangements.
Property accepts cash payments in LKR/USD/EUR/GBP only.
Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Please note that the all inclusive package includes full board meals and one half day safari per night. Park entrance tickets for safaris not included for all inclusive package.
