Located on the border of Yala National Park, Tribe Yala offers a true jungle experience as you sit in the veins of the wild as it crashes right before your feet. Immersed in the wilderness, Tribe Yala offers fully air-conditioned luxury tents with private bathroom facilities and a dining area serving both Sri Lankan and Continental dishes. Our property offers Halal food.
Tribe Yala is fully powered by generators, thereby is not affected by power cuts.
Tribe Yala is a 3.5-hour drive from Colombo City and a 4-hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. Distance to Yala National Park is a 20 mins drive.

A very convenient location (15 minutes’ drive to Yala Block I main Entrance, 10 minutes to back entrance and 45 minutes’ drive to Yala Block III, IV, and V entrance. Bundala National Park which is a bird paradise is just a mere 20 minutes away from Tribe Yala) which makes it the perfect base for your safaris.
To avoid tourist crowds from the Block 01 we do our drives in less popular paths to get the undisturbed and private sightings. Leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, a vast array of birdlife including many endemic species, and many more are among the diverse wildlife that can be spotted on safari and even around the Tribe Yala Camp itself.
All Game drives are done in their own customized Toyota Hilux safari jeeps with wildlife books, snacks, and refreshments on board.

Wildlife Safaris
We offer exclusive private wildlife safaris accompanied by our very own Tribe Yala Wildlife Ranger. You can expect to spot a variety of exotic animals in their natural habitat while learning interesting facts about them.
Guests may select between Half-Day and Full Day Safaris. If you are interested in Half-Day Safaris: You may select between a Morning Safari (5.30AM start) or an Evening Safari (2 PM start). Total Duration is approximately 4 hours. We also offer Full Day Wildlife Safaris with a Private Lunch Setup inside the Yala National Park.
Booking your safari with us is easy. Let us know your preferred safari selection, and we will make the arrangements in advance. Alternatively, you can book your safari upon arrival at the property.
