From the moment you walk through the curved doors you will feel like you have been transported back to a 15th Century Andalousian house. Riad Andalib is in a privileged location, bordering the main road to access the old town of Fez called Medina, which makes it the geographical center of the medina but yet accessible by car. Typical Andalusian house with typical Andalusian Patio with a central fountain and common rooftop/terrace, where you can enjoy taking sun, simply relax or enjoy the view of all the Medina with its minaret.
We can advise on things to do, arrange visits to the Medina and ultimately share a little taste of traditional Fez with you. With our very spacious rooms to rent in this traditional character filled town only a couple of minutes’ walk from the center of the medina, you can be sure that your stay will be relaxing and enjoyable. Fully equipped bedrooms and bathrooms. Air conditioning and WIFI.
Reibal Idrissi, Owner of Riad Andalib. Came back home to Fes, Morocco after he spent nearly twenty years in Montreal-Canada. Obtained a bachelor degree at a business school (HEC), worked as consultant for contract bond companies before opening a new concept of fast food restaurant in Montreal. The idea of opening a guest house in Fes-Morocco is only a natural desire to come back home and participate to his hometown development. This traditional guest house is originally a family propriety witch was falling into pieces (a complete ruin) and brought back to life after 6 years of hard work and perseverance. Reibal knows about the importance of patience and loyalty in the world of hospitality. Reibal pursues interests in travel, art, design, architecture, food, and wine.
Situated in the heart of the oldest town in Morocco. Fez-Medina considered as one of the most extensive and best conserved historic towns of the Arab-Muslim world, was founded by the Idrisid dynasty between 789 and 808 A.D. The original town was comprised of two large fortified quarters separated by the Fez river, the banks of the Andalous and those of the Kaïrouanais. Our establishment is situated along the river on the Andalousian quarters founded by the Andalousians around the 15th century and representing a great variety of architectural forms and urban landscapes including a considerable number of religious and civil monuments. Very easy to visit all the places of interest, the first built university in the world, wood museum, Madrassas, brass works, potteries, the tannery, carpet makers and so on.
