We are Sarah, from Morocco, and Jonathan, from the U.S., and we've made our home here in Morocco, where we’re excited to welcome you to Riad Lily. After purchasing the riad in 2023, we spent 14 months thoughtfully renovating it to open for guests in September 2024. Our vision was to blend comfort and accessibility with the charm of a traditional Moroccan riad. The riad is named after our daughter Lily, and we’re thrilled to share that we are also expecting the arrival of our son in October. We look forward to sharing our home and this beautiful part of Morocco with you!

The Rabat Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a historic walled quarter of Morocco's capital city, blending traditional Moroccan architecture with a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with shops, souks, and artisans, offering everything from intricate textiles to hand-crafted goods. The Medina exudes a sense of timelessness, where the past and present meet through its ancient buildings, like the Kasbah of the Udayas, and modern-day activities. Unlike medinas in other cities most of the people you’ll see are Moroccans living and working just like they have for a very long time.
