EcoHouse Risan and the Studio are spacious, Relax in peace and privacy under the vine canopy, gaze up at the mountains, and listen to the magical nightingales. The Eco-House Studio peacefully nestles in leafy unspoiled Risan, on the UNESCO Bay of Kotor and is embraced by majestic mountains. The spacious studio and secluded south-facing terrace are shaded by lush vines, with an outdoor shower, BBQ area, free WiFi, air-con, satellite TV, and modern home comforts. The apartment is equipped to a high standard, ideal for a couple. There is also a sofa bed for a third person or up to 2 young children. In addition to the outdoor BBQ kitchen and shower, inside the Studio is a shower bathroom with a clothes washing machine; a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, 4-ring electric hob, oven, microwave; free satellite TV and free WiFi. Eco-House Studio is high up the quiet hillside 5-10 minutes walk from Risan centre. The studio is 30m sq and the private terrace is 35m sq. The apartment is completely separate from the main house, with secure gated access by steps from the road which also leads to the EcoHouse, home of your hosts, Anke and James. Private off-road parking is outside. . We also supply a selection of fresh food from the local farmers' market for your first breakfast, as well as coffee and a bottle of local Vranc wine; ENJOY it by relaxing on the terrace and perhaps a glass of wine in the evening. The road from Risan centre coming up to the Studio is narrow, it leads up further to incredible views of Boka Bay and further out to the Adriatic Sea. Great for walking.

The Studio is in the leafy outskirts of Risan - a green oasis in the north corner of the gorgeous Bay of Kotor on the main road. It is blessed with ancient springs, woodlands, eagles, and rich birdsong, including magical nightingales. Risan is an unspoiled ancient small town on the main road around the famous Bay of Kotor with a bustling Sunday market under the fragrant trees. There is several pebble beaches for sea bathing, 3 great waterside restaurants, 2 supermarkets, a bakery, post office, and other shops. The Tourist Office is at the entrance to the specialist hospital, and overnight visitors must register here and pay the local tourist tax. A car is best for day trips to nearby highlights such as the famous ancient walled city of Kotor 30-minute drive; billionaire luxury in Porto Montenegro or Porto Novi (you can observe the 'beautiful people' while you sip a coffee at one of the reasonably priced cafes!); Crkvice at 1000m above sea level (a former Austro-Hungarian garrison where 5000 soldiers were based) and mountain walks in the magnificent Orjen range. Public transport is by bus, and in the high season the best way to visit Perast and Kotor, where parking is limited. Taxis are available from the centre of Risan. EcoHouse Studio is a 5-10 mins uphill walk from the centre of Risan. Private off-road parking is immediately outside. The road was recently tarmacked, which makes it easier to turn, but it is still narrow and a kind of an adventure road as it leads up into the mountains, where much development is still planned. The road from the town is not really suitable for camper-vans or vehicles much larger than a private car. One should realize, that all roads generally in Montenegro are narrow, curvy, and not like many other mountain roads guests may be used to in Northern European areas.
