I love living in Mexico and it is my pleasure to have our guests discover and enjoy the Magic of Morelia and Michoacan. "Casona Rosa B&B, Morelia" is a colonial style home in heart of Colonia Centro of the Colonial city of Morelia. Traditions and ancient architecture mean a lot to the citizens of this UNESCO city. Morelia creates the mood of being both ancient and eternal, and we've used this as our guideline for designing "Casona Rosa B&B, Morelia". We are just off the main street of Av. Madero, and a few short blocks (easily walkable and no car needed) from the Portales and its many fabulous restaurants and bars, the main Plaza de Armas, and the famous Cathedral, which is the 2nd largest in the Americas. Morelia is the world class UNESCO world heritage Colonial capital city of Michoacan. "Casona Rosa B&B, Morelia" is in the heart of Colonia Centro, hence our motto: 'In the heart of UNESCO Morelia and the soul of Colonial Mexico'. Much attention is paid in decorating the house with locally made art, folk art and handcrafts. We often hear "how beautiful" and "how peaceful" when our guests enter the B&B. It is satisfying to hear this, as it is our intention. Casona Rosa is on Calle Guadalupe Victoria, just off Morelia's main street, Ave. Madero. It is a short 4 block walk to the Portales with all its known restaurants; the main Plaza de Armas; and the famed Cathedral, the 2nd largests in all the Americas. It is easy to navigate the Colonia Centro section of Morelia, and all the tourist attractions, galleries, museums and sights plus places to see/eat/shop are easily walkable. No car is needed for Centro.
