Welcome to El Encanto, a hotel unlike any other. In 2015, architect Hector Chavez y Naveda had a dream: he wanted to give up his life in Toluca and move to Yucatán with his family. He had often spent holidays in Merida with his wife and sons, but the quality of the accommodation often bothered him. All the accommodation was air-conditioned and rather sterile. Hector dreamed of a hotel that could meet both the demands of the sensitive nature in southern Mexico and the high expectations of its guests. So the dream became reality when Hector began studying Mayan architecture in 2015. The rest is history, El Encanto today combines traditional architecture with modern construction. Thanks to the thoughtful architecture, air conditioning is not necessary in the rooms, yet the nights are pleasantly cool. The hotel is committed to being a fair employer in the Holca region and is affectionately called Kooxkanto by the locals. That translates as: Let's go to El Encanto. Despite the difficult time when it opened during the Corona pandemic, El Encanto is now a tried and tested boutique hotel for guests with the highest expectations. The hotel is perfectly located between the Yellow City of Izamal and Chichén Itzá. There are several rainforest walks and cenotes to discover in the region. We look forward to welcoming you.

El Encanto - Yucatan Villas is located 20 minutes by car from the famous Mayan city of Chichen Itza. The famous yellow city of Izamal is also only half an hour away, and of course the jungle of Yucatan invites you to explore and the cenotes are just waiting to be visited.
