Dan lives here most of the year and enjoys building cob/adobe/bamboo houses, growing food and making silver/wood/stone jewelery. He enjoys the ever changing community of friends, family, volunteers and guests that visit and share the adventure of creating this sustainable homestead.

Finca la Magia is an Eco Jungle Guest House and farm restaurant, on an organic permaculture family homestead, nestled in the tropical rainforest on the skirts of Maderas volcano, right by the lake, on the southern side of the island of Ometepe. It is built with natural materials following permaculture principles of sustainability and ecology. We are surrounded by Jungle with howler monkeys and multitudes of birds and flowers while the farm is a food forest in itself where we grow dozens of types of tropical fruits, herbs, vegetables, salads which we serve in the cafe onsite. Guests enjoy exploring the waterfall, Maderas volcano, and lake during the day. We hope you will enjoy relaxing in our rustic, yet comfortable 'jungle camp', where accomodations range from economical basic dorm room beds to private double rooms with mosquito nets and a view of the lake or volcano. Our shared outdoor shower and composting toilet help support the sustainability of our property. The farm offers wifi, digital nomads welcome!
