B&B Suupmarkt is located in the historic city center of Dokkum, opposite the turning point of the 11 city trip. This monumental building has a history that goes back to the origin of the city. The name 'B&B Suupmarkt' is derived from the street name where this historic building is located. This street name refers to 'sûpe', the buttermilk and dairy that was traded here. From 1600 this building itself served as a beer brewery under the name 'Het Hart/Het Hert' and later under the name 'Het Springend Hert'. The side wall and cellar vaults are still reminiscent of this time. The B&B has comfortable and attractively furnished rooms with private bathroom, TV and heating. We have rooms on both the first and second floor, which makes the B&B less suitable for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. The side wall has mooring rings for securing bicycles and cars can be parked for free within walking distance of the B&B: parking lot de Helling. Guests have breakfast in the rooms or in the communal area on the 2nd floor and can make their own coffee and tea. All rooms have a double bed. A single bed/sofa bed can be added. There are costs involved (or are already included when booking for 3 people). B&B Suupmarkt has been welcoming guests with great pleasure for several years, previously under the name 'Het Vergulde Scheepje'.
