Welcome to a charming cabin at Oppdal, by the entrance to beautiful Gjevilvassdalen and Trollheimen, close to hiking terrain and hiking-/biking-/skiing trails. You get access to the whole cabin. Road all the way to the cabin, and free private parking on site. Access via private Toll Road (NOK 80). Winter plowed. This is a modest self service mountain cabin with basic standard from 1979, but with electricity, water, TV and WiFi. The cabin has a combined dining area and living room with a large sofa and dining facilities. It also has 2 small bedrooms (double/twin bed, bunk bed (beds are only 190 cm long), foldable guest bed and foldable travel baby cot), a small kitchenette with cupboard and sink, a utility room with stove, dishwasher, washing machine and a refrigerator. There's a tiny bathroom with a water toilet and a very simple shower. Bring your own towels, bed sheets and linen (or sleeping bags). You will find duvets and pillows there. It's self check in and out. You have to clean the cabin before departure - including to bring the garbage / trash / waste and deposit it at the public waste disposal next to the Joker grocery store. For allergy reasons we do not allow pets. This is not the place for those with high demands, but those who want a cozy cottage stay in the mountains.

The cabin is located in a rural setting in an established cabin area at the entrance to beautiful Gjevilvassdalen and Trollheimen. About 500 meters from the cabin there is a great hiking terrain. In winter there is normally a 7 km long ski trail around the mountain of Rauhovden. From the trail there is the possibility of further skiing to Grøtsætra, Skaret / Nerskogen, and to Gjevilvasshytta. Similar hiking opportunities are available in summer. The cabin is located about 2 km from the end of Gjevilvatnet (Osen), with swimming / bathing opportunities, boat / canoe rental, and car park. Beautiful sandy beach Raudøra at Gjevilvasshytta (TT) 11 km into the valley. The nearest grocery store is Joker Festa (2 km). Facilities for waste disposal is next to the Joker grocery store. The Oppdal ski resort and Oppdal center with shopping and restaurants is about 15 minutes drive from the cabin.
