We have lived on the farm for 30 years and is the seventh generation who runs the farm and place. We rent out most of the land, and cultivate ourselves only vegetables and fruits for own use. We cut firewood in our own forest, run our own micro power plant, and is selfsupplied with green energy.

Døsen Luster is "middle of southern Norway", with good connections westwards towards Bergen and Flam Railway is a 2.5-hour drive away. Sognefjellsveien, a national tourist route, leads east to Lillehammer and Oslo, or northwards to Trondheim. The area offers great nature experiences, from Alpine peaks in Jotunheimen and glacier expeditions on the largest glacier in Northern Europe, to light walks in the nearby woods. Possibly with a visit to an old farm area. The fjord offers excellent opportunities for boating and fishing. There are also good opportunities for fishing of salmon, sea trout and trout in the area. There are reasonable prices for salmon fishing and the opportunity for free fishing in mountain lakes.
