Property info
Lake Tekapo Cottages are situated about 2 minutes walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd near the lake shore, and about 2-3 minutes walk to the village shops directly over a new footbridge between our address and the shopping. Most units have close mountain views and are private, sheltered, and quiet. We are lucky to be surrounded by older trees, some of them, close by, are more than 100 years old, probably the oldest trees in Tekapo and the Mackenzie Basin. We do not have lake views. The name is derived from the name of the village. Please note we are not a hotel. Lake Tekapo Cottages consists of a group of some smaller, some larger private units in a quiet street. The units all contain cooking facilities and are rented on a self catering basis.
Neighborhood info
Our Neighbourhood is situated near the famous stone church on the waterfront and the footbridge which in a 2 minutes scenic walk takes you directly into the shopping area. Generally quiet and secluded we are situated on a special little street, in a rural , park like setting.
