While scouting for potential lands or buildings to open our own B&B we stumbled upon the house that is now Calma do Mar. Above all it was location that made us choose this house for our project. We love how you can reach some of the most beautiful spots, restaurants tour operators and even the ferries to other island by walking while being super close to the ocean.
We love what we are doing! When I (Petra) arrived on Pico Island first time in 2005 it was pretty clear that it would be very challenging to leave again. Now, some years later, I call Pico my home, where me (Nuno) grew up. We hope to give all our guest the same experience.
Madalena is the perfect home base to discover the Azores. Together with the knowledge we gained over the islands in the last years you have all possibilities to get the full set. 3 islands, many tour operators close by, etc. give you the possibility to discover another part of the azores every day.
