Located in the trendy and central Santos design district and at walking distance to the major sightseeing attractions and trendy places.

Santos is known for its design shops, its design and architecture schools, and for its bars and restaurants. At 10 minutes walking distance from Cais do Sodré and Chiado/Bairro Alto it is at the heart of Lisbon historic city centre. Cheese & Wine Suites is at 150 metres from the famous tram 28. But it's also a neighbourhood of grand mansions, just like the residential Lapa district up the hill. It was here that many aristocrats and noble families lived in the 18th century, and many of their homes have now been turned into hotels and embassies (the best examples are on Rua do Sacramento à Lapa and on Rua das Janelas Verdes). Behind Largo de Santos (Santos Square) are the narrow streets of the tiny and picturesque neighbourhood of Madragoa, which, together with Alfama, was home to Lisbon's fishwives and fishing community. Today it's a neighbourhood known for its traditional taverns and "petiscos" (tapas) restaurants, and for its many tiled facades. Just like Santos, the district of Alcântara, a little further west, has several old warehouses converted into restaurants, especially by a marina under the 25 de Abril Bridge (the Santo Amaro docks), and at Lx Factory, one of the city's trendiest.
