I have developed this place in the spirit of green living using the principles of permaculture to create a natural environment with minimal impact on the local ecosystem. You can pick fruit from our trees, harvest from our kitchen garden and sleep in comfort after a day relaxing, exploring or visiting the historic and beautiful towns in the area. Table tennis, kayaking, cycling and many other facilities are on offer as well as in depth knowledge of hidden gems along the Rio Zêzere. This area of Portugal is a fabulous addition to the coast and well-known tourist trail. The calm and tranquil Rio Zêzere and its unique natural environment is a hidden gem. Only a few hours drive from both Lisbon and Porto, and an hour from the beautiful beaches of the Silver coast and Figueira da Foz, the list of options is endless.

Set in a valley of family run smallholdings, this location gives you the opportunity to experience rural Portuguese life. There are many historic towns and villages in the area, beautiful natural spots and many restaurants serving delicious Portuguese cuisine. Locally, there are stunning swimming spots, mountain walks or cycle routes (if you feel energetic!). We can arrange trips or simply point you in the right directions for your own adventures.
