Our peaceful location is perfect for guests who want to enjoy the Algarve’s natural beauty yet stay close to its popular attractions. With spectacular views of the ocean and countryside, our little patch of paradise sits on a hilltop behind Almancil and the Golden Triangle resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. It is an oasis of idyllic tranquility and the epitome of slow living, yet only six minutes from motorway connections spanning the whole Algarve …... Almancil, the hub of the Golden Triangle, with its quality restaurants and leisure opportunities, is 7 kms from Monte Borboleta. The charming village of Santa Barbara de Nexe is 2.8 kms, the market town of Loule 5.7 kms, the historic capital Faro 14kms. The Algarve’s largest and newest Mall, MAR Shopping Algarve and its adjacent Designer Outlet Village, are just seven minutes drive ……. There are five accommodations to choose from, set out in the manner of a small Portuguese village clustered around a shared saltwater pool: two charming cottages, two romantic apartments and an enchanting main house with outdoor shower and newly-installed private plunge pool. All have air-conditioned bedrooms, a kitchen or kitchenette and an outdoor terrace for dining .….. Monte Borboleta is accommodation-only (there are two supermarkets at the nearby MAR Shopping Mall) but we aim to provide all the home comforts of a boutique hotel ……. Beds are doubles convertible to singles, and are laid with linen, bath and pool towels. Complimentary soap and shampoo is provided in dispensers, along with bathrobes and blankets. There is no daily room cleaning but we will exchange towels on reasonable request and bedding on longer stays …… For safety reasons and to maintain the magic of Monte Borboleta and its ambient calm, children under the age of 15 are not allowed. This is a place to slow down, relax and absorb the wonder of nature but also a perfect springboard to explore the myriad attractions of this beautiful region.
