Ecological farm with vineyard, strawberry field, asparagus field and vegetable garden, forest with direct access to the Douro river and country house with 6 accommodation units; 5 suites and a yurt, all with private bathroom and ecological hygiene products, direct entrance from the outside and breakfast included. Possibility of meals upon prior reservation. Dinners are preferably cooked over a wood fire and with products from our organic garden and guests are welcome to cook! The farm with views of the mountain and the valley of the Douro River is in the territory of the Magic Mountains, in the north of Portugal, known for its extraordinary natural values and certified as a sustainable tourist destination since November 2013.
We are Joana and Aníbal, a portuguese / argentinian couple that met while traveling and shares the same tastes for traveling, food and cooking, nature, animals and outdoor living. We have been working with nature to create a refuge for world travellers who embrace nature and adventurers that like to travel off the beaten path. Our aim is to share this beautiful place and provide you unique experiences!
We are in the territory of the Magic Mountains, in the north of Portugal, known for its extraordinary natural values and certified as a sustainable tourist destination since 2013. It is a destination of excellence for nature lovers and those who enjoy sports activities and adventures. Surrounded by several rivers, there are many nautical activities that can be practiced, from SUP, ski and wakeboard, boat trips or rafting. We are located between the Montemuro and Freita Mountains, mandatory stopping points for those who like not only to enjoy landscapes, but also to visit historic villages, to walk breathtaking trails or even to cross the largest suspension pedestrian bridge in the world! It is also an area of excellence for food lovers!. The best way to get around the region is by car. For those who do not want to drive, there are tour operators who collect guests at the accommodation for tours / activities in the region. There is a public transport company, with a stop 5min walk from the farm, with regular schedules that connects to the center of Porto, to the airport Francisco Sá Carneiro and to the villages of Castelo de Paiva and Cinfães. The farm has free parking.
