Bäckaskog Slott is beautifully situated between the lakes Oppmannasjön and Ivösjön. A monastery was built here in the 13th century and was later converted in to a castle in the 17th century.
Today it is a hotel with restaurant, conference facilities and a lovely park. All the rooms have private bathrooms.
Guests at Bäckaskog Slott can freely use bikes and canoes and there are hiking areas in the
vicinity.

„We had a stay for 3 nights. Since there is no other restaurant in the neigborhood we ate 3 times there. However, the basic menu is quite limited. Luckily the cook was able to prepare us 3 distinct vegetarian meals during our stay.”
