A big hello from Fiona (Scottish) and Alex (German), and a warm welcome to Långeboda! A cosy little Swedish cottage tucked away in the woods on the edge of a tiny hamlet… yet fully modernised with all mod cons. Perfect for two couples or a family of four, but with an extra bed in the seating area on the landing should you need a little more space. The garden in front of the cottage is fully enclosed and therefore safe for small children or pets (please ask in advance if you want to bring your four-legged friends, for which we ask a small contribution to cleaning). There is ample space for grilling outside in the summer and a wood-burning stove in the kitchen to add ambience on chilly winter evenings (firewood available on request). There is space for at least two cars right outside the door but note that the track up to the house is a little bumpy (but you don't need a 4x4)! If you don’t have your own bedlinen and towels with you, you are welcome to use ours (SEK 150 per person per stay).

As for us, we moved to Sweden in 2024, having exchanged our fast-stream, international careers for a lifestyle that makes it possible to enjoy the things we truly value on our lovely 40 ha. forest/farm a few minutes’ drive from Ringamåla, where we have dogs, horses, goats and chicken. Having lived, worked and travelled extensively in four continents, we have experienced at firsthand how much it means to experience a country from the inside and are determined to help our guests do just that – that little bit of ‘insider knowledge’ can make or break a holiday! We have a passion for nature and the environment, so buying local, reusing and recycling are high on our agenda. There is a TV at the cottage, but it is our hope that guests will prefer to be outside, enjoying what nature has to offer, or even enjoying interaction with each other (good old-fashioned conversation, games!). We strongly encourage guests to help do their bit by separating waste, made very easy in Sweden, where your rubbish bin already has 8 separate compartments… Our other businesses include our line of 100% recycled printable knitwear (t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies), tableware and drinking straws made from palm leaves (nothing else!), in addition to a small business promoting locally produced delicacies (some we make ourselves are very suitable for the BBQ).
