Sövröds Hage is an old farmstead. The 7 hectares large property has beautiful pastures, grazed by sheep, and some forest. The buildings are embedded in a wonderful therapeutic garden, in most parts available to the guests. Protected oak/beech forest is directly on the back side of the houses. There are lots of walking paths in the surroundings, some of them starting just at the farmstead. We can recommend the cottage for couples and families with children. Note; to reach bedroom 2 you need to go through bedroom 1, which means there is less privacy. We can offer nature therapy sessions, including forest bathing, and hiking adventures. My name is Anders and since 2013 I have been living here, refining the buildings, the garden and the pastures. I am a landscape architect, and use the garden as an experimental field for different kinds of plantings. The garden is also designed to allow for the healing of body and mind. Thus the garden is full of secluded places for meditation and health-promoting activities such as yoga.
In the surroundings are several lakes, large forests and nice pasture land. The landscape around Sövröds Hage is very small scale and extremely accessible for walking and bicycling. You can make several nice walks just directly outside the door. Around Höör are really lots of hiking trails; in your room you will find maps of how to find these. When it comes to sightseeings in the surroundings we recommend: Fulltofta Naturcentrum (hiking centre, nature exhibition, children´s nature playground, café), 8 km away. Bosjökloster (Castle, previous monastery, medieval church, garden, exhibitions, café), 8 km away. Skånes Djurpark (Nordic animal park), 6 km away. Stockamöllans kanotcenter (canoes for hire, canoing along the beautiful river Rönneå), 16 km, Söderåsen National Park (hiking in and around the gorge of Skäralid and the crater lake of Odensjön), 25 km.
