Hotel Mitra, Story Hotels is located beneath the castle within the old town of Slovenia's oldest city, Ptuj. It offers spacious, elegantly decorated rooms and houses Ptuj's oldest coffee house. The coffee house dates back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire and serves excellent coffee with freshly baked treats. Homemade traditional Slovenian sweets like Haloska and Prleska gibanica are worth trying. Buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room and Hotel Mitra, Story Hotels has a wine cellar with some wines originating in 1917. The Mitra is close to numerous swimming pools and spa centres with massages. Ptuj also has a golf course for golfing fans.
